I would like to thank you all tonight for being here to support these 2 lovely young adults on their wedding day. I have seen many relationships in my day, and believe me, this is one of the strongest I've come across.
To my baby girl...thank you so much for being a wonderful daughter. Although I know we've had our ups and downs, you have always been so strong, loving and kind. There hasn't been a day in my life where I haven't thanked God for such a great person being in my life. I love you honey.
And to my new son-in-law: TAKE GOOD CARE OF MY BABY!
In all seriousness, I know you have ______ best interest at heart, and to tell you the truth, you have been the only boyfriend she's had that I even remotely liked, so you have to be doing something right. I pray that you will continue to bring out the best in each other and fruitful throughout your lifetime.

You two make a wonderful couple. And I am a proud father today. I knew, right from the beginning, that ______ would be special. And she is. She's devoted, she's ambitious and she's determined. And some people would say that in her father's eye, she can do no wrong. So what a tall order this father turns out to be for any prospective boyfriend!
But I want to tell you I'm a contented father in law today. ____ is a perfect match, and I'm proud of my daughter for choosing so well. Actually, I always wanted to choose her husband for her. But, of course, she went ahead and did her own choosing and did a better job than I could have ever done. And it's just wonderful to see their love for each other.
I do have to acknowledge this though, ____- my daughter is perhaps not the easiest person in the world to work with when it comes to animals. She is so scared of them it's unbelievable.
But I can promise you: apart from that, as you probably already know, she's just about perfect! And if she brings even half the joy into your life that she's brought ours, I know you will feel blessed.
We have so many wonderful memories, (daughter)______You really have been a joy in our life.
I want you to know how much it means to us that you've made such a success of your life. You're doing a wonderful job of every part of it. When I see the two of you together laughing and enjoying one another's company, it warms my heart.
And as I watch you both planning your future life, I know that this father - who, I must admit, is a something of a worrier by nature - has nothing to worry about.
You make a wonderful couple. _____and ____, there is much love in this room today. A wedding is not only about love for each other, but the love you share with all the people in your life. My dear daughter, you have done me proud today, now I can safely sleep at night without wondering what time you are back home and who is keeping you out so late. My dearest daughter, now you have brought me a son, someone to help me with the garden and the lawn. I could not have asked for more.
It takes a whole lifetime to know someone, but as you may well know, your mother and I have been through hell and back together, I am sure you will be able to go through the same.
To my son in law, well there is not much I can say son, except to remind you about the yard that needs cleaning soon after the wedding party. Welcome to the family son, we love you both.

I have to say, this day has come around sooner that I was expecting. I don't mean that _____ has rushed into this, of course! It's just that one day you have a brand new daughter, and the next, she's a young woman starting her own life.
I knew, right from the beginning, that _____ would be special. And she is. She's fun-loving, she's loyal and generous. And some people would say that in her father's eye, she can do no wrong. So this is the toast I would like to make to you: 'May your love be modern enough to survive the times and old-fashioned enough to last forever.'
